Directions to South Ponto Surf Spot
From the North:

Take the I-5 SOUTH.

Exit Tamarack Ave.

Turn RIGHT so you are
heading WEST.

Turn LEFT onto Old
Highway 101 (Carlsbad Blvd.) and continue SOUTH.

The first area to park
is located just SOUTH of the Camp Grounds and the sand
parking and pay lot is located further SOUTH over the
small bridge.
From the South:

Take the I-5 NORTH.

Exit Tamarack Ave.
-
Turn LEFT so you are
heading WEST.

Turn LEFT onto Old
Highway 101 (Carlsbad Blvd.) and continue SOUTH.

is located just SOUTH of the Camp Grounds and the sand
parking and pay lot is located further SOUTH over the
small bridge.
From Inland North
County:

Take the 78 WEST.
-
Take the I-5 SOUTH.

Exit Tamarack Ave.

Turn RIGHT so you are
heading WEST.

Turn LEFT onto Old
Highway 101 (Carlsbad Blvd.) and continue SOUTH.

*Please note: There a lot of
different ways to reach this spot by using side roads and other highways.
It’s all a matter of preference and accessibility. I've found these to be
the easiest and least confusing of the bunch. Enjoy!
