Seaside reef is located just South of
Cardiff right as you enter Solana Beach. Seaside has some awesome waves that
break on these reefs and can actually produce some amazing barrels along the
inside section with the right swell and conditions.
This surf break is very
accessible and is great for a day of surfing with some

Location:
Seaside reef is located
right off of Old Highway 101 and is just South of Cardiff
and just North of Solana beach. There is a huge parking lot
on the beach right in front of Seaside which makes this surf
spot near impossible to miss. Parking and beach access is
very easy and straight forward which makes Seaside a very
accessible surf spot for everyone from beginners to veteran
surfers.

The Parking Scenario:
Parking for Seaside is
very easy and nice. The parking lot that is right on the
beach is huge and can accommodate a large number of
vehicles. So even on those hot, sunny, San Diego days,
parking shouldn't be too much of a problem for this awesome
break.

For some reason, if the
parking lot is full. There is parking along Old Highway 101
as you head South. Be careful as you park because the
designate parking spots are not large and the traffic
heading South can get very close to your car door.
Beach Accessibility and Conveniences:
Beach access is extremely
straight forward and easy to locate. In fact, park you car,
walk across the parking lot and look for some rocks to walk
over or a dirt pathway leading down to the beach. Simple as
that! When you walk across the rocks, be sure to get good
footing because the sand on top of those rocks can be really
slippery.

The restrooms are located
in the Southeast corner of the parking lot. They are well
maintained by the city and have a lot of stalls open for
use. There is also sinks located on the sides of the
restrooms that are awesome for rinsing out your wetsuits or
beach stuff.

There is a shower right in
the Northwest corner of the parking lot right next to the
lifeguard tower and it feels amazing after a long,
fulfilling session of surfing the fun waves at Seaside. See
the picture below to see the shower to the left of the
lifeguard tower.
Lifeguard:
There is a lifeguard tower
located right against the water towards the North side of
the parking lot. This tower is in good condition and is
usually occupied all throughout the Summer months. However
in the Winter months, don't expect anyone to be in there
watching out for you. Make sure to take note if a lifeguard
is working or not and take more caution if the tower is
unattended.
