Directions to D Street Surf Spot
From the North:
-
Take the I-5 SOUTH and Exit Encinitas Blvd.

Turn RIGHT so you’re heading WEST.

Once you reach Old Highway 101, Turn LEFT and
begin SOUTH.

You will see an Encinitas Sign hanging over Old
Highway 101 and the stop light soon after will be D Street.

Turn RIGHT onto D Street.
-
The road will come to a dead end at the beach
access for the D Street beach.
From the South:
-
Take the I-5 NORTH and Exit Encinitas Blvd.

Turn LEFT so you’re heading WEST.
-
Once you reach Old Highway 101, Turn LEFT and
begin SOUTH.

You will see an Encinitas Sign hanging over Old
Highway 101 and the stop light soon after will be D Street.

Turn RIGHT onto D Street.
-
The road will come to a dead end at the beach
access for the D Street beach.
From Inland North
County:
-
Take the 78 WEST.
-
Take the I-5 SOUTH and Exit Encinitas Blvd.

Turn RIGHT so you’re heading WEST.
-
Once you reach Old Highway 101, Turn LEFT and
begin SOUTH.

You will see an Encinitas Sign hanging over Old
Highway 101 and the stop light soon after will be D Street.

Turn RIGHT onto D Street.
-
The road will come to a dead end at the beach
access for the D Street beach.
*Please note: There a lot of
different ways to reach this spot by using side roads and other highways.
It’s all a matter of preference and accessibility. I've found these to be
the easiest and least confusing of the bunch. Enjoy!
