Directions to Cardiff Surf Spot
From the North:
-
Take the I-5 SOUTH.
-
Exit Birmingham.
-
Turn RIGHT so you’re heading WEST.
-
Head up and over the hill and continue down.
-
You will arrive at a dead end. Turn LEFT on San Elijo Ave.
-
At the first stop light, turn RIGHT onto Chesterfield.
-
Continue over the railroad tracks.
-
Turn LEFT onto Old
Highway 101 and head SOUTH.
-
Continue on Old
Highway 101 for about 1/2 of a mile.
-
You will see a parking
lot on your LEFT and that will be the Cardiff parking
lot.

Turn RIGHT into the
Cardiff parking lot.
From the South:
-
Take the I-5 NORTH.
-
Exit Birmingham.
-
Turn LEFT so you’re heading WEST.
-
Head up and over the hill and continue down.
-
You will arrive at a dead end. Turn LEFT on San Elijo Ave.
-
At the first stop light, turn RIGHT onto Chesterfield.
-
Continue over the railroad tracks.
-
Turn LEFT onto Old
Highway 101 and head SOUTH.
-
Continue on Old
Highway 101 for about 1/2 of a mile.

You will see a parking
lot on your LEFT and that will be the Cardiff parking
lot.

Turn RIGHT into the
Cardiff parking lot.
From Inland North County:
-
Take the 78 WEST.
-
Take the I-5 SOUTH.
-
Exit Birmingham.
-
Turn RIGHT so you’re heading WEST.
-
Head up and over the hill and continue down.

You will arrive at a dead end. Turn LEFT on San Elijo Ave.

At the first stop light, turn RIGHT onto Chesterfield.
-
Continue over the railroad tracks.
-
Turn LEFT onto Old
Highway 101 and head SOUTH.
-
Continue on Old
Highway 101 for about 1/2 of a mile.

You will see a parking
lot on your LEFT and that will be the Cardiff parking
lot.

Turn RIGHT into the
Cardiff parking lot.
*Please note: There a lot of
different ways to reach this spot by using side roads and other highways.
It’s all a matter of preference and accessibility. I've found these to be
the easiest and least confusing of the bunch. Enjoy!
