From the North:

Take the I-5 SOUTH.

Exit Genesee
Ave.
-
Turn RIGHT so you're
heading WEST.
-
Continue WEST up the
hill.
-
Make a LEFT on North
Torrey Pines Road, which is the fourth stop light after
exiting the 5 Freeway.

Make a RIGHT on Torrey
Pines Scenic Drive, which is where the Salk Institute is
located.

Follow Torrey Pines
Scenic Drive till the dirt parking lot at the end of the
road.

Park in the dirt
parking area.
From the South:
-
Take the I-5 NORTH.

Exit Genesee
Ave.
-
Turn LEFT so you're
heading WEST.

Continue WEST up the
hill.

Make a LEFT on North
Torrey Pines Road, which is the fourth stop light after
exiting the 5 Freeway.

Make a RIGHT on Torrey
Pines Scenic Drive, which is where the Salk Institute is

From Inland North
County:

Take the 78 WEST.

Take the I-5 SOUTH.

Exit Genesee
Ave.

Turn RIGHT so you're
heading WEST.

Continue WEST up the
hill.

Make a LEFT on North
Torrey Pines Road, which is the fourth stop light after
exiting the 5 Freeway.

*Please note: There a lot of
different ways to reach this spot by using side roads and other highways.
It’s all a matter of preference and accessibility. I've found these to be
the easiest and least confusing of the bunch. Enjoy!
